- I'm a high school junior studying for a semester in Mettray, France, which is just outside of Tours. I'm more or less a certified geek-- I actually like learning Latin, and read authors like Proust in my spare time. I'm not entirely serious and stuffy in my literary tastes, though: I love graphic novels, from Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi to Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. I also love writing: essays, novels, poetry, short stories, most anything but play/screen writing (and I might give that a shot sometime soon). I like photography and other visual arts but don't do them often enough. I also love the outdoors, hiking, rehabilitating wildlife (birds in particular), and taking my dog for long walks.
